		<description>Dear Y'all-
am in the final hours of a contest promoting simple ways to reduce carbon usage and the prize for the person who signs the most people up is a designer garden. I am doing this because I want to give my mom, a super awesome single parent, her dream garden as a way to thank her for all of sacrifices for me over the years.

I decided to work really hard to win this contest ( and help the earth, too) as a way to thank my mom for all of her sacrifices for me over the years. As a single parent and a member of AFSCME, she worked numerous jobs all the time to make sure I had everything I would ever need to succeed in life, and to have luxuries like horseback riding lesson, trips to DC, and the latest clothing- these are not given when you grow up in a working class household. My mom loves to garden and I want to win so that she can have the garden of her dreams.

I am also doing this outreach because I think it awesome that the Center for a New American Dream is making it easier for us to be able to reduce carbon usage in our everyday actions. This month's focus is on buying local food- which is something I support each week through my involvement with farmers markets in DC. I can't wait to learn next month's suggestions!

Please copy and paste the following link your browser: http://c3.newdream.org/campaigns/c3/register/4a65d61b79e099adf83ded606f736567/ and please forward this email to your networks, if you don't mind.

I am nearing victory, and need to keep the sign up coming for the next 36 hours.

Many thanks,
