Just fyi: Dr. Carroll, whose primary teaching responsibities at UNH include Environmental Ethics and Sustainable Farming, was a customer at both Holiday Farmers' Markets. He will be one of my professors this semester, so rally up those questions! ;~)

My neighbor/friend and I have made a list of all the food we are growing for our garden this coming summer. We are going to split the food, can for the first time ever, and freeze everything we can, and then we'll see how long the supply lasts for. We are also preparing a room in our basement for a root cellar. I realize we come off as wackos, but I don't care anymore. I'll be eating great food, no matter what the futures holds!

That talk sounds really interesting.

Thanks for linking to that Lorraine Merrill article. She says we should start a local food organization or blog. She's totally stealing your ideas! ;)
