A little housekeeping: one of my winter tasks is working on individual pages of the Seacoast Eat Local website, along with a much more user friendly, pretty, functional component that we can all use to find and source local food. In the meantime, the little search box on the main website sends me weekly reports about what people are looking for (don’t worry, it isn’t tied to you, just a list of search terms, your privacy is intact), but I realized it points them here and the main site, but not our wiki. So I fixed that, because our wiki is a great resource, and it allows us all to share and contribute sources and organize them in ways we all like (yes, this is a hint - if you’ve got sources, share them! If the wiki isn’t working for you, try email.)
So to the person looking for eggs, here ya go >
And the other person looking for flour >

(SZ, you crack me up.)
One other breadmaking company is When Pigs Fly, also in York (they’re tucked in behind Fazio’s Restaurant). I’ve called them to confirm the origins of their primary ingredients, will report back asap. Their cool website (take the bakery tour!) does not state ‘where’ as much as it does ‘what’ for ingredients, but it does state that their ingredients are “all organic.”
