October is National Eat Local Challenge Month, and Virginia over at Living the Local Life has a great post up about how she’s participating, ideas and resources for the challenge, and some great encouragement to boot!

Wowie, thank you for the shout out! How are you doing the challenge Sarah?

Hi Sara - thanks for posting the link to Virginia’s blog! I had never seen it before and she seems to be quite the kindred spirit.
Also - I’m going to be taking advantage of the Kittery Adult Ed classes and taking the cheesemaking class! I was the last student to make it in. I’m so excited! All thanks to the Seacoast Eat Local blog. Thanks again for providing such wonderful information.

Virginia - I’m not sure yet how we will do the October Challenge - I know it is only a few days away, so planning should be happening! This would/will be my household’s 4th month long Eat Local Challenge, so we want to think carefully about what we should be doing to challenge ourselves while allowing ourselves some balance and downtime - in past years we’ve been pretty extreme and I don’t think we’re up for that this year!
