My haul from Butternut Farm this past weekend
It’s that most wonderful time of the year - when foods are coming into season constantly, and the consolation for the shortness of the strawberry season is the intense flavors of the next fruits.
Strawberries are still to be had for a little while, though, so if you haven’t picked your share to freeze, can, or simply gorge on, you still have a little time. And raspberries are just starting to come on.
Seacoast Harvest lists 23 farms all over Rockingham, Strafford, and York Counties that offer pick-your-own and already picked raspberries. www.seacoastharvest.org
