Fresh Chicken at Kellie Brook Farm this weekend!

Just in time for beautiful Labor Day Weekend barbecuing weather, Kellie Brook Farm has fresh chickens for sale at their farm stand Thursday September 3 - Sunday September 6

The chickens are running from about 3.5 lbs. to 5.5 lbs.

They will also have frozen chicken & turkey parts next week, available at the Exeter and Kingston Farmers’ Markets as well as their farm stand.

Cutting up a whole chicken for the first time seems intimidating, but it turns out to be really easy and pretty similar to carving a cooked whole bird. And once you learn the process, you have a skill that makes local poultry really accessible, gives you a lot of flexibility in the kitchen, and can save you money! (I totally mangled it the first time I did it, but it was still edible and delicious!)
