Chefs Collaborative, Seacoast Eat Local, and Slow Food Seacoast are pleased to invite you to attend the 2010 Heirloom Harvest Barn Dinner, a fine dining experience celebrating local sustainable food and farming.
This year’s Heirloom Harvest Barn Dinner will take place on Sunday, September 19, 2010, in the barn at Berry Hill Farm in Stratham, NH. The night will begin with drinks at 4:00 p.m. and dinner at 5:00 p.m.
The Heirloom Harvest Barn Dinner, part of the RAFT Heirloom Grow-Out Project, is a celebration of biodiversity, community, farmer-chef connections, and great locally grown heirloom varieties. The celebration will feature a multi-course, seated meal in a historic four-story barn overlooking picturesque Berry Hill Farm in Stratham, NH. Led by chef Evan Mallett of the Black Trumpet Bistro, Grow-Out participant chefs each prepare a course for the meal highlighting heirloom vegetables grown by local Grow-Out participant farmers. Complete with locally produced beverages and live music emanating from the hayloft, the Heirloom Harvest Barn Dinner is a night to remember. Grow-Out farmers will be in attendance and honored at the event. Funds raised from the dinner will support continued work on the RAFT Grow-Out project.
Tickets are available for a $125 donation. Funds raised from the event will support the RAFT Heirloom Grow-Out project, which celebrates and raises awareness of agricultural biodiversity and builds community through farmer-chef connections.
