Intro to Cheese Making at the Cheese Iron

Hello Everyone! On this snow day we are hoping that Groundhog is correct, and that Spring will be early this year. But until then, here are some exciting things coming up at The Cheese Iron. The Feb 3rd. cheese class is sold out! But don’t miss the next one — it’s our first “Intro to Cheese Making” class. It will be held on Thursday, March 31st. from 7 – 9 PM. This class will teach you the basics of cheese making, taking you through all the steps and ending with your cheese being set to age in our cheese cave. The focus of this first class will be on simple fresh cheeses.

 

You can sign up for the class, which is $50 per person, via telephone at 207.883.4057, or next time you’re in the shop. Reservations required, limit 26 people per class.

 

Also because you have asked — you can now order your cheese making supplies through us. (Rennet, molds and cultures).
