It’s not too early to buy your tickets for the Wild & Scenic Film Festival, taking place the evening of Earth Day, April 22, at The Music Hall co-hosted with the Southeast Land Trust of New Hampshire. Seacoast Eat Local willl be there as part of the post-film panel discussion!

Celebrate Earth Day with an evening of environmental and adventure films. The national [2] Wild and Scenic Film Festival brings together a selection of short films to document the splendor of, and the challenges facing our planet in addition to the work communities are doing to protect our environment. These fun, beautiful, and evocative shorts will inspire, educate, and move you to change the world! A panel of local experts will lead a community discussion and Q&A following the films. In partnership with the [3] Southeast Land Trust of New Hampshire.
Featured in Portsmouth are nine films that range from humorous to inspiring to challenging. Laugh as you enjoy a mock-u-mentary following a plastic bag on its ‘migration’ from supermarket to its final destination in the Pacific Ocean. Be inspired by the magnificent images captured by international conservation photographers. Learn more about the joys and hardships of farming through the Maine-created film Meet Your Farmer which chronicles four farm families.

As the evening is part of The Music Hall’s Wildcard Film series, a panel of local experts will lead a community discussion and Q&A following the films. These films are presented through a partnership between the Southeast Land Trust of New Hampshire, the Music Hall and SYRCL. Local evening sponsors include Coastal Home, Green Rides USA, Northland Forest Products, Philbrick’s Fresh Market, and Pax World Funds.
